Postage Stamps of New Zealand Volume IX - The Postal Stationery Robert Samuel The RPSNZ is pleased to announce the latest in its Handbook series.'The Postage Stamps of New Zealand'. This volume, the first in full colour, covers New Zealand's Postal Stationery from Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth. Written by the late Robert Samuel, this publication will surely become the authoritative work in this field. The comprehensive chapters deal with postcards, Lettercards, Registered Envelopes, Envelopes, the 1932 Adhesive Provisionals, Newspaper Wrappers, Aerogrammes, Government Department Printed Franks, the 6d King Edward VII Telegraph Form, Stamped Adhesive Lables, Impressed Honey Seal Stamps and Postal Notes. Also covered are the various private items issued over the years, the Department of Education postcards and envelopes, non-denominated Stationery, and sections on Samoa, Cook Islands and Niue. Robert was New Zealand's expert in this area of collecting and he had brought together all his research in this one volume. The Index to The New Zealand
Stamp Collector 1995-2004 As promised in the Annual Report, Adam Miller's update to the Index is now available. The Index to The New Zealand Stamp Collector 1995-2004 & The Newsletter 1947-1973 comprises 54 A4 pages, and is ring-bound in card covers. It continues the general format from the previous Index, but in the larger size to sit alongside the now A4 size journal. Price to members is $15 + p&p ($1.50 in NZ, $3.50 overseas), non-members $20 + p&p. In addition, Council have decided to offer, as a special package deal, a reprint of the original 172 page Index of 1998 which covered the NZ Stamp Collector from 1919 to 1994. This A5 publication will be perfect-bound in a card cover based on the dust-jacket from the original hard-bound publication. Members can purchase both publications for just $40 + p&p (as above), $50 + p&p for non-members. Orders can be phoned, faxed or emailed to Sue at the Office. No bulk & dealer discounts are being offered.

Stamp Collector
The New Zealand Stamp Collector is now nearing its 90th year of publication. Started in 1919 as the house journal of then prominent dealers Verne & Co, publication passed to the Federation of New Zealand Philatelic Societies in 1961, and ultimately to the Society in 1971. The journal is published quarterly, as 28 or more A4 pages. Printed on art-paper, it includes research articles on the philately of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, with contributions from many leading and honoured philatelists. There are occasional colour supplements. Back issues are available (NZ $8.00), with issues before 1995 being 40 A5 pages (NZ $5.00). Back issue list here. Table of Contents for recent volumes here. New Zealand members of the Society also receive a monthly 2 page Newsletter regarding society affairs, with overseas members receiving three months' worth with each Journal.
