The New Zealand Stamp Collector of September 1937 had this to say:
"The New Zealand Tourist Department has just issued a set of 10 colourful labels, devoted to various subjects of interest to travelers. The subjects dealt with are as follows:-
Blue Baths, Rotorua; Wonderland; Chateau Tongariro; Marlborough Sounds; Sportsman's Paradise; Dart Valley; Mt Cook; Mitre Peak; Mt Egmont; Maori Chief.
The labels are intended for use in advertising New Zealand and should be placed on the backs of envelopes. Supplies are available on application to the Tourist Department."
The sheet is perforated 11¾ with each stamp being 36x57mm. Note the similarity to the later publicity issues for Queenstown.
